The States got together to discuss if they would send a shit ton of relief to N.D. or just say "fuck it" and give the whole mess to Canada. I hope you like Molson and hockey.
I do. Its still better than hurricanes or the shit ice that gets dumped on the east coast. Wind and cold i can live with. I hate the heat.

I should have parked facing the road in case I want to go out. There's a slight grade going up when I turn going out the driveway. Frequently that's a no-go.

1 degree woo hoo! A heat wave!

Have to drag in some bags of pellets later today and that means shoveling a path to the garage... I should hack a path to the mailbox too but to cold... co-op can open that up Monday with the skidloader and bucket.

Thawing bacon, going to make breakfast for the wife and daughter.

We do presents on Xmas Eve, so today will be a great day of relaxation.

Hopefully tomorrow the boy will bring his wife and new baby over.

I’m avoiding shoveling the foot high snow drifts off my driveway because man, the HA in April still has side effects.

Slept in until 6:30! Cinnamon rolls just went in the oven, just waiting on the teenager to wake up. Things are slim this year so we planned on just the kids this year- but there's presents in there for me too, hopefully husband didn't go overboard!

Work last night was better than two nights ago.

Received several cards, a bottle of spirits, and many well wishes from vendors!

Most vendors were closed by 8 PM.

Only the Pub remained open to normal hours.

Left TN 12/28 and drove 720mi to Mims Florida to where my brother is building a house on 10 acres. 14 hr trip! Never saw traffic that backed up on I 24, and I 75 before.

Slept in a tent for 3 nights. No air mattress. Some torture cushion, no sleeping bag. Stiff, thin worthless quilt. I pulled my velux blanket out of my trunk. Listened to an owl peacefully hooting all night. Pretty cold.

Thursday night about 2 am I heard a really loud howl of something I have never heard before. The 4 really loud pops like someone popping their hand over their mouth, followed by monkey sounds and some quiet hoots.

Critters in the area are bears, bobcats, coyotes, gators, deer, no evidence of hogs, wolves (possibly red wolf-yote hybrids) and of course the elusive @Rabidwookie/skunk apes. His land has some pretty decent sized swampy areas. Maybe even some quick sand.

Friday night dipshit kid going burnouts in front of his place in a diesel Ford truck. An airboat running up and down in the lake out back @1am.

Helped him get a few things done. Hauled in some 30, and 24ft steel beams off the side of the road that were too wide for him to get into the driveway because of the trees. Had to do them 1 at a time. Laid down a hand truck, strapped them on it with a wooden frame. He's building a barndominium.

Went into Titusville a couple of times. Looks like a neat town.

Headed to Bonita Springs on Saturday to stay at my sister's. We went to this place A Fresh Food Experience Like No Other - Seed to Table they had a band playing there, all kinds of hottie tourist women. Had dinner there.

Did Christmas on New Years day. Tons of food. My sister makes her standing prime rib, ham, and turkey gobs of pies!

Hit the road yesterday for 870mi home. Lots of delays, of course it rained going through Atlanta. Usually do it in 12hrs. It was 14 instead.

Back to work today. I can hardly wait for this weekend to sleep in.

Had to force myself to stay in the house. Working structure fire 4 houses down from my house. I could smell the smoke and the memories came flooding back. By the looks of the weak header and white smoke it never really made it out of the incipient stages and as long as they spent on scene, they were probably chasing phantom flames through the walls with a thermal imager.

Well they did it again. We are pretty sure who is doing it but have no proof. We think its third party neighbor who doesnt even live on this road. Well at least he doesnt access his property from this road. We think he is trying to bait my husband into dumping it all back into the shitty theiving neighbors driveway when its not their fault. We might have to spring for another camera and place it where we can see who is doing it for sure. I'll have to look into whether or not that's illegal- like malicious mischief or something.

@Pistolkitty still should call out the law to start documenting the activity to create a paper trail for habitual harassment. That way when you do catch them they can't really wriggle out of it. And you can bet your lovely neighbors are very well aware and encouraging the plow operator to keep up the good work. Could even attempt a little subterfuge and ask who their snow removal company is so you can hire them to keep your entryway clear too. If that road you're on is considered public in any legal sense, you have a case against them.

And for reference;

ID Code § 18-3907 (2019)

This statute applies to all public roads. Idaho property owners, renters, and private snow removal operators may not deposit, shovel, blow, or plow snow onto or next to a public highway or road.
