Smoke a turkey and air fried a ham. Didn't have any mashed potatoes so we had riced cauliflower with broccoli and cheese and gravy from a jar. No red chili ( here red chili is what we use for gravy). Oh, and my wife made cornbread.
Just Mrs. Dawg and me this year - Turkey (dark meat), homemade stuffing, whiskey/pecan sweet potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, green beans and pecan pie. My wife is an amazing cook, but she did let me make the sweet potatoes. Best meal we've had since the Great Shutdown began in March.
I'm in the same boat. I think I might just keep brewing coffee and not eat today. My kid brought home a ton of Mexican food, so he's good for today.
Leftovers soup. Earlier this week I made the normal Thanksgiving meal my father and grandmother requested until they passed. So ham soup with the bone boiled for stock, gravy thrown in to the stock, green beans, corn, potatoes, and the rest of the ham.
Roasted turkey breast. Ray Chachiere herb Cajun spices. I screwed up the gravy. I used to much drippings. I have nothing to thicken it up with. Probably make turkey an noodles out of it. Or turkey soup. I have 2 sticks of butter in it inside, and poked it into the arm pits. Basted every 30 minutes.
breakfast for supper maybe... haven't decided... not super hungry after over eating the last 3 days LOL
I cooked some ground round Friday night and mixed in some taco seasoning. So time to warm it up and make some nachos. I bought a 12 pack of Sam Adams "wintery mix" beer. Might have a couple of them with it.
Thin sliced pork loin that's been in the crockpot for 8 hours with beef broth and consommè. Served on toasted Italian rolls with provolone cheese melted under the broiler with mashed potato bowls and au jus sauce.
