try gunbroker.com. You can sometimes find good deals on guns there. You have to pay shipping though which isn't that bad since usually you won't have to pay for tax. Still have to pay for your FFL to receive. Just a thought.

p22 is a .22 caliber pistol. I'm not 100% sure what you are asking an opinion on. Whats the model of the gun you want some information on and I'm sure somebody will be able to help you.

the p22 is a .22 pistol. I doubt you'll see any cops carrying that. Ive seen them as high as 400 but thats with the laser usually. Smith and Wesson owns Walther. They are good guns but I wouldnt say best ones made by any stretch.

smith and wesson is the licensed importer of walther firearms. walther does not have a USA subsidiary to handle importation of thier firearms.

as to the guns, the SP22 is a 22 target pistol that is an entry level gun for bullseye target shooting and other rimfire sports. they are breaking a grand locally when you can get them.

the P22 is a 75% size copy of the P99 pistol series in 22lr. it is designed as a training tool for those with full size P-series gun who want a cheap trainer. it is not as accurate as a ruger or browning and costs abourt the same. its advantage is it has all teh same control positions as a full size auto pistol and handles in teh same manner. i have one with 25,000 rounds though it with only minor issues.

the PK380 is a newcomer that i have zero expierence with and havent been able to find, order or even show in stock anywhere.

they are currently on "allocated delivery". which means S&W sells them to whomever has the highest sales volume. so smaller dealers are screwed. there are three on GB and all are over priced.

well smith-wesson has them and i guess they are new.PK380
I wouldn't want to be the first owner of a gun that just came out. Let them work the kinks out before you buy. Several other good .380s on the market. Bersa Thunder, P3AT, HP .380(couldnt really CC that one).

The cracked slides really ruined it for me. I don't want a piece of slide in my eye.

WOW cracked slides!! I didn't know about that. I have a p22 and love it, although it is kind of picky about ammo. I use CCI mini mags and thy never jam. I have to look into the slide issue though thats scary. If you have any links I would appreciate it.

Edit: never mind about the links. I googled Walther p22 cracked slides and found all sorts of things. That's some scary stuff!

yep, there was a early version of the P22 that had issues with cracked slides, significant feeding issues, weak springs among other things. the product improved version fixed all of these problems.

yeah from what I can tell the early versions dont have smith & wesson stamped on the slide. I'm not worried though I dont think it has happened recently.
