when and how to take action

Im wanting to know when and how would we know to take action to defend ourselfs.between say,your town and neighborhoods
if the zombies of any kindstart some sort of raid,wether it be for your guns,vacines/quartine or anything else that might
be planned.i would like to get some sort of opinion from you guys so i can do whatever i can when the time is right.do i wait till
a few/100 zombies come towards my house or in my yard or as far as i can see through a scope?i need this info to feal more
secure,so when i have to defend myself it will not be illegal.if this comment is too harsh for the forum im sorry and you can delete it.

There's a lot of versions of this but think in these terms.
When you've had all you can take grab your rifle go outside and begin to jump up and down screaming. When you stop to take a breath, look around.
If you neighbors are outside jumping up and down screaming: It's time.
If you're the only one, go back inside. It's not yet time.

I'm willing to bet that when it's time, you'll know.

There's a lot of versions of this but think in these terms.
When you've had all you can take grab your rifle go outside and begin to jump up and down screaming. When you stop to take a breath, look around.
If you neighbors are outside jumping up and down screaming: It's time.
If you're the only one, go back inside. It's not yet time.

I'm willing to bet that when it's time, you'll know.

Funny, but that's probably about how it'll be. I agree that when the time comes, you'll be hard pressed to miss it.

if you're sure they're zombies, I don't think you'll need to worry about legality. probably one warning shot at their feet will be enough to determine that, too. If they keep coming, they're zombies.

Just be carefull.you dont want to accidently already be a zombie and still have a gun.lord knows the last thing we need is zombies with guns.

Zombies can't shoot. Neither can they ride bikes or drive cars or operate machinery. Zombies have no mechanical ability whatsoever beyond tearing and ripping. Give a zombie a gun and it'd try to tear it apart and eat it. A monkey has a better shot (sic!) of using a firearm in it's intended purpose than a zombie. And if a zombie did manage to operate a firearm per it's intended purpose it'd just be in the form of accidently blowing it's own head off.

Nope, you'll only get to tear it apart and eat it. If you do blow off your head, it will be a complete accident. This is per the official zombie handbook. I say a copy somewhere. I think it was published by the boy scouts or something...

by the time you're a zombie, it's too late. you'll need to do it yourself before you turn (difficult) or have someone else do it. this is a common scene in zombie movies, always emotional.

waiting on the zombies to come to you is a bad move. Once they are actively attacking people we must take the offensive. An offense has the initiative and also has a path of retreat. Defending the home is guaranteed to get you zombiefied. Agile and mobile! Hit em fast hit em hard and then disappear. A feigned home defence would be nice. Once all of the zombies are commited to attacking you, the offensive part of your plan is unleashed. A team hits the zombies on their flank. Still though, I'd always want an escape route. Only team work can stand up against zombies. They are hard to put down and have time on their side.
