My little sis came up to visit from Arizona. On this trip, I had decided to gift some things.
Her son, 20 y.o. namesake of my recently passed Father, well, he got the last gun I bought for dear old Dad. Citadel M1-22 and we shot a lot of rounds thru it! Works wonderfully with the proper ammo. So that is going to AZ.
Sis has no personal protection. So I was thinking of the CF380 as a good starter gun. She put about 40 rounds through it and did very well, shooting a pizza plate cardboard and her only misses were when it got too dark to see the sights and I had told her to aim at the bottom so I could count the hits easier LOL
She was perfect until that 4th and last magazine, as we counted hits after every one.

I also had her try the Hellcat with a 124gr round, and she was convinced that the CF was indeed easier to shoot. So I am sending that gun too.

Now my loved ones are better protected against W/E they may encounter in Scottsdale.

Sis could clearly take out a BG home intruder. She works from home, so I'm pretty confident that she has a much greater protection factor than she had before!

For handguns, maybe, at least better than some models (SNS.....😂 )... for carbines.... when you could in theory get a decent to middling basic 5.56 16" AR for $50-150 more than the 10mm Carbine? The AR wins hands down IMO, unless you just gotta share mags and ammo with the HP pistols (.45 and 4595ts for example)... 🙄

It's one path, @ajole

I know of no other easier shooting 380 or 9mm around
My Bersa single stack was $160-$180, used. No reliability issues with mags, very ergonomic, very accurate. DA/SA trigger that is very good, easy break down for cleaning, and a safety that’s not stamped tin that fits in a slot in the slide.

So…now you do!🤣

Sold a crap ton of Bersa Thunder in both 9mm and .380 when I was at Gander years back. Ladies loved them for defense pistols. Good little pistol and pretty cheap at the time.

Great gun shoots everything but it should be nicked "Jack-in-the-Box". Pray you won't need to clean it! Every frickin' imaginable spring goes flying EVERYWHERE! Wasn't until I tried to put it back together I realized why they are so inexpensive. Guess they just want you to buy a new one. A WHOLE LOT less aggravation.
That's the third time I've read that. 4 posts, 3 are identical and one was blank. And to clean it you shouldn't need to do more than remove the slide.

Yeah... now that I'm no longer the forum filter, y'all are going to need to report the posts so greg, Kirk, or the evil Overlords can fix it...

Should have followed the older manual, and just used a bore brush. The newer one says to take the slide off…but not to remove any other pins and springs.

REMOVE?? After removing the retaining pin a d sliding the rack back, it was like a Jack-in-the-Box, 4 springsgo flying
Oh come on. Granted, the recoil spring has the ability to completely traverse a large living room, the two firing pin springs and dolls head most likely landed in your lap. And if the sear spring fell out then it's probably a good thing you took it apart. Little tip for your next cleaning. Keep your thumb over the hole in the back of the slide and don't aim the front at your face.

Watching On Patrol: Live (and it’s predecessor Live PD) it amazes me how many Glocks are recovered from felons, drug carriers, etc.

I’ve yet to see one Hi-Point. They most carry Glock with some Sig mixed in. I’ve only seen two S&W’s and one Taurus.

Nothing else.

And the other IRL cop shows follow suit.

But do we hear anything about taking Glocks off the street…

There has been over 780 guns stolen from cars in Nashville this year. I'm seeing lots of videos with bad guys wielding all kinds of Glocks with the 33rd mags. Makes me think I don't need to carry a single stack any more. 18&20rd Caniks are my go to's.

Ha!

9/3 episode of On Patrol: Live, first time I’ve seen a thug with a Hi-Point (I think a .45).

Naaa. That's what's known as a Glock 40.
