He probably decided to stay with 1 caliber to simplify his ammo buying, or it's some other inane attempt to rationalize his decision to not do multiple calibers.

P series are some of the most reliable, rugged pistol Ruger ever made.

$350 seems like a far price?

In that condition, I would say yes at the most, there is always room for negotiation.

    'Cause .40 has sharp recoil?

'Cause he already has a 9mm or .45 and doesn't want to go through the trouble of stocking a different kind of ammo and reloading supplies?

Could be any number of things. Personally, I fall into both of the above categories.

Maybe (guessing) for the same reason that man LEO organizations are leaving the .40S&W and going back to the 9mm para.?

I switched to 9mm cause its cheaper, I can get more trigger time. Simple reasons.

The .40 was available when 9 & .45 wasn't. The .40 will make Major in a double stack and with 185 gr boolits can be suppressed. No one reloads and the brass can be range pickups. No more sharp recoil than a .357 Mag. Police surplus .40 pistols are about as cheap as you can get.

Probably going to be even cheaper due to all of the LE agencies dumping the .40S&W and returning to the 9mm Para.

I expect it'll be like being able to find a .38 wheelie back when they were all jumping on the Glock bandwagon.

Heck, I might have to buy one and I don't really want a 40. :)

Hopefully they'll surplus out all the .40 ammo they've amassed also!

If they are anything like the Feds... they'll spend millions of $$$$ destroying all the unused surplus......

Most likely..... Although it would create a hell of a slush fund for someone!
