Remember money is just a means for a transaction. What really causes evil is possession of stuff - someone wants your stuff, doesn't want you to have your stuff, you want someone else's stuff, you think your stuff isn't as good as your neighbor's stuff, and some are willing to kill you for your stuff. That's why minimalists have a better shot at heaven than aquisitioners, they're less likely to commit a sin in order to obtain stuff. Of course, minimalists have that whole "I'm better than you" thing going.......
As for the 2nd question. it's better to not want at all. However, if you have "it", enjoy it and cherish it for as long as you have "it", for all things are temporary. If you don't have "it" and don't feel a need to have "it", you will have more peace in your life.
