You would have no problems running either the Wolf or the Ultramax ammo in your carbine. I have used both and they work just fine.
I would NOT however use the Wolf in your XD. I have heard that the all steel cases are a bit hard on extractors on XD's and Glocks. The Ultramax feeds and fires fine in an XD as I have used it before. I have an XD9 sub compact that I usually feed PMC and Magtech ball when plinking/practicing, and use Federal Hydrashoks and Hornady TAP for defense loads.
