Which classic movie would be the world's shortest remake if the protagonist had just armed himself/herself at the start of the film?

any of the crappy horror movies. i can think of a few drama flicks that would have been much better had the main characters started shooting people but thats beside the point.

Two really bad movies from that M. Nyght Shymalan guy, Signs, and The Village...Especially Signs, having been filmed in Pa.'s farm country, where most farmers are gonna have at least a shotgun, including the Amish.

I heard this one from another site...Signs: "Unarmed aliens trying to kill us, grab your AKs boys, we're going hunting!"

The Village, all it would have taken was one lousy musket, and those idiots dressed as the "creatures" would have been taken care of.

An American Werewolf in London...didn't take silver bullets in this flick so if the boys would have ccw'd they'd have an exciting story to tell about their stroll across the moors.
