Let's just say, for the sake of my question. That the people who want to outlaw guns got their way. Would you illegally buy, and keep an illegally purchased firearm.

Or would you just bend over and forget about ever owning another gun?

Doesn't asking this question seem a little out of place? I prefer to keep my ego in check and advise others to do the same.

Hehe please. You are asking to people to sign statements that they would be predisposed to breaking a potential law. While that may be true why publish the fact?
Ego?

Because I want to know where I can go to be safe if this happens.

If you don't want to answer my hypothetical question...then don't. I don't give a shit one way or another.

I still don't know what you mean by ego.

The chest thumping that always surrounds these is just ego talking. Sorry its just the type of question i try to warn people not to answer. Of course you didn't mean anything by it but its like posting a pic of a rifle with the SN showing.

by ego he means no one would post a "hell yeah i will be the next billy the kid" unless they wanted to come off as a rebel with a cause.

If you want to "be safe" if that happens..then do not post you would be the next billy the kid on the internet. Posting on the web is just as public as saying it to someones face. Lets say for example " if " that happened would you walk up to leo and say yeah thats right I have x.y.z? Posting statements saying you would, can come back to haunt you 10 fold as this is a "public forum" and statements like that could be used as probable cause " if " that happened and this forum and others like it were investigated.

The thing that makes responsible firearm owners responsible is we obey and follow the law regarding our hobby/sport which is why that " if " has not happened yet. The minute the masses start to swear otherwise there is really no reason to keep our current freedoms in place.

And recent web postings by people doing bad things with firearms surface in the news when a story breaks and used in legal proceedings daily to convict people.

That is why ego was used because it would make no sense otherwise to say differently.

No offense, Bullseye...but the 2A has NOTHING to do with sport or hobby. Illegal or not, I will have my guns until I no longer draw breath. It has nothing to do with "ego" or "chest thumping"....it's about freedom and independence from tyranny.
My post was not about the 2a so none taken. MY post is in reference to what makes one eligible to participate in the 2a. I mean that is how "they" keep getting around it right, when they pass new laws regarding it.

Generally speaking I was talking about the need to not jump on one foot, give first borns blood along with your dna sample coupled with wearing tracking monitor and chipping your firearm to participate in the 2a activity's. Because not everyone is eligible to currently to do so ;) Of course they could not take the 2a away...but they sure do try to find creative ways to limit it the way most states do.

I used hobby/sport as two examples only.

i would definitely keep my firearms and live as a "criminal" if firearms were outlawed tomorrow

i'm already a "criminal" because i happen to enjoy smoking marijuana

furthermore, i'm not the least bit ashamed of my lifestyle. in fact, i consider it a point of honor to disobey unjust laws (as did our founding fathers)

The other posts are only dicussing their feelings on a fictional issue while you Sir are discussing something ALREADY illegal. As it may be a "unjust law" it is still illegal and is in violation of this forum rules

I feel an odd but overwhelming kinship with Rhodes post...that dog (subject) is happy right where it is. Left alone.

to say that i "happen to enjoy" something isn't a reference to any specific instance of criminal behavior

but i'll tell ya what, maybe the mods will ban me and you guys can have a safe, happy, pink and blue nursery where everyone gets along

my feelings may be a bit hurt if that happens, but i think i'll manage to pick up the pieces and carry on

Of course it does if you enjoy it means you use it which is ILLEGAL. Thus is breaking the rules of this forum as you are discussing doing something illegal.

As for being lawabiding If you don't abide by the laws then you are a criminal. Folks who rob banks, carjack, murder, rape, or assault ect are criminals they are NOT law abiding citizens. If being lawabiding bothers you I want to be as far away from you as I possibly can.

If following the rules and laws is against your being then either learn to abide by laws or end up in jail or worse. the rules to this forum and in the community apply to YOU as much as they do to everyone else.
